Qualifications

• Basic degree in related field; certification in radiopharmacy preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and handling of radioactive materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients according to physician orders.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures such as PET, SPECT, bone scans, thyroid scans, renal scans, and cardiac studies.
• Operate and maintain gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT, and related equipment.
• Position and monitor patients during imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide pre- and post-procedure instructions.
• Follow radiation-safety procedures and maintain radiation-dose records.
• Check patient identification, medical history, pregnancy status, and examination details.
• Prepare, handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials safely.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Perform quality-control checks on imaging equipment and assist with troubleshooting.
