Vithoba, based in Nagpur, seeks a Head of New Product Procurement & Development to drive market-driven product opportunities and oversee end-to-end formulation in cosmetic and Ayurvedic categories. The role requires strong cross-functional alignment with R&D, packaging, production and regulatory teams.

The candidate should have 4+ years in NPPD/NPD/R&D, with hands-on cosmetic and Ayurvedic formulation experience, and familiarity with FMCG or personal care sectors. Location: Nagpur area, on-site.

Job Title: NPPD Head – New Product Procurement & Development

Location: MIDC, Hingna Road, Nagpur

Experience: 4+ Years

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct market and consumer research to identify new product opportunities and market trends.
• Develop new product concepts and prepare product launch plans.
• Handle end-to-end development and formulation of Cosmetic, Ayurvedic and Herbal products.
• Identify and develop new products, formulations, raw materials and suitable suppliers.
• Hunt and evaluate third-party manufacturers and alternative suppliers.
• Work closely with R&D, Packaging, Production, Quality and Regulatory teams.
• Develop and improve existing product formulations and packaging.
• Evaluate product samples, quality, costing, feasibility and timelines.
• Manage packaging development and suggest new packaging solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Conduct regular visits to third-party manufacturers and suppliers for product development/upgradation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation for new products.
• Manage product commercialization and batch-related activities.
• Conduct post-launch product reviews and implement required improvements.
• Handle supplier/vendor issues and resolve product development-related disputes efficiently.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in NPPD/NPD/R&D/Product Development.
• Must have hands-on experience in Cosmetic and Ayurvedic/Herbal product formulation and development.
• Experience in FMCG, Personal Care, Cosmetics, Ayurvedic or Consumer Healthcare industry will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product formulation, packaging, sourcing, costing and commercialization.
• Good communication, negotiation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple product development projects and timelines.
