Reporting directly to the Director Digital Ecosystem in DDIT Operations Data & Analytics DS& AI, this role is responsible to perform the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis, end to end solution architecture, design tasks related to the development of any application/product in the Data & Analytics DS & AI area; including Big Data and AA area

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Develop end to end architectural solutions (from primary source system to visualization layer for a complex business area and deliver solution architectural services including governance activities. Elaborate the end-to-end solution architecture for a specific solution based on architecture-significant requirements and company-wide architecture standards
• Apply architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the comprehensive solution architecture design. Follow and use Architecture tools and platforms, principles, policies, and standards. Define, curate, propose new reference architectures and patterns. Define and contribute to Roadmaps and governance of the blueprints and standards
• Contribute to Data & Analytics DS & AI strategy and roadmap to drive standardization, harmonization of solutions for all applications/systems in scope. Support execution of technical projects in the area of domain considered such as upgrades, consolidations and new technology implementation projects, on time, on quality and costs
• Define high-level migration plans to address the gaps between the current and future state, typically in sync with the IT budgeting or other capital planning processes.
• Act as communication and coordination channel through interactions with business domain and other architecture community.Take accountability to ensure alignment with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope for end-to-end solution
• Establish, govern and ensure consistency to cross-divisional/systems for considered domain in alignment with Functional Architects and the Design & Integration Architects
• Ensure designs produced adhere to architectural roadmap and support the development, execution and operations of software/service. Actively learn and identify key considered domain market trends and identify and propose opportunities for their usage in Novartis
• Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units

Minimum requirements

University degree in Information Systems or comparable education, experience or equivalent.

• 7+ years IT experience, predominantly in providing services in End-to-end Solution Architecture
• 5+ years in Analytics / Big Data experience, proven skills & experience in solution architecture
• Sound Experience in working in an Analytics / Big Data tools including SQL based (Snowflake), Spark based (Databricks) environments and visualization solutions (QlikSense)
• Sound Experience with Cloud Service Provider technologies (especially AWS).Experience working with DevOps tools and familiar with SW lifecycle management.
• Good level of expertise in Advanced Analytics Technologies (especially Data Engineering and system integration, including performance tuning and sizing).
• Familiar with Service Oriented Architecture, containerization and serverless architectures.Good knowledge of applications in a Data integration and Big Data environment.
• Familiarity with concepts of data and system security and compliance in highly supervised environments and Cross Cultural Experience.
