Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited seeks a Professional to drive Advanced Numerical Simulation within the Structural Analysis group of the Structures department. You will contribute to design, certification and in-service phases of aircraft programmes by delivering robust simulations and innovative methods.

You will apply Linear and Nonlinear FE analyses, automate workflows and explore AI/ML to enhance credibility and accelerate development timelines across programs.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals including knowledge of Engineering mechanics, Strength of materials and Stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Strong understanding of the different types of structural Nonlinearities.
• Strong understanding and hands on knowledge of all the phases of FE simulations.
• Knowledge of scripting languages.
• Awareness of advanced technologies such as AI and ML.

Responsibilities

• Detect unforeseen structural design issues and recommend structural design modifications during the aircraft development
• Support certification of the aircrafts by de-risking certification tests
• Carrying out Root Cause Analysis and support resolving in-service issues
• Use simulations to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes
• Develop new simulation methods to make simulations more credible
• Automating simulation lifecycle processes to reduce manual efforts and simulation timelines
• Explore digitization techniques such as AI / ML to augment simulations

The Advanced Numerical Simulation team is a part of the 'Structural Analysis' group in the Structures department and plays a key role across the lifecycle (Design, Certification and Inservice) of current and future aircraft programmes by developing and deploying state of the art and credible advanced numerical structural simulations.

Job scope (core activities)
