Job summary

DMart seeks a capable legal professional to manage non-litigation matters across the Group, with a focus on title search and lands due diligence in Maharashtra. You will draft and vet essential land-related agreements and guide a team to ensure timely, quality support across divisions.

Experience in registration processes and revenue records is preferred; leadership and structured problem-solving are key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in title search and due diligence of land/plots.
• Drafted and vetted purchase agreements and related documents.
• Knowledge of land registration processes.
• Experience with revenue records to assess title clarity.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate with multiple divisions.

Responsibilities

• Vetting of documents such as Agreement for Sale, Leave & License Agreement, Lease Agreement, Development Agreements, Deed of Conveyance, Tenancy Agreement, Deed of Gift, Mortgage documents, Power of Attorney, Affidavit and other documents pertaining to litigation.

• To handle all Non-litigation matters for the organization in the State of Maharashtra.
• Work with the package teams working on non-litigation matters concerning the Group.
• Apply structured problem-solving skills in either role (litigation team / Non-litigation team) to create value for the organization.
• Due diligence of lands and structuring of acquisitions.
• Lead initiatives to implement best-in-class systems and processes to improve team performance
• Lead, direct and guide a team of executives to deliver 100% on-time and at-quality support across multiple divisions.
• Vetting of documents such as Agreement for Sale, Leave & License Agreement, Lease Agreement, Development Agreements, Deed of Conveyance, Tenancy Agreement, Deed of Gift, Documents related to Mortgage - Hypothecation - Pledge, Power of Attorney, Affidavit and other documents pertaining to litigation.

Job details:-

• Experience of Title Search and Due Diligence of Land /Plots.

• Ideally 30yrs of checking revenue records the candidate should have. Which helps us to understand the tile is clear or not.
• Idea of authorities to visit in case of any missing documents and aware of the process to obtain the documents.
