We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Non Financial Risk - Front Office.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive and assist in the management, coordination and execution of risk management activities across Custody within Securities Services. Ensure the risk governance framework is clear, fit for purpose and executed as defined; confirm escalation paths are adequate and effective.
  • Ensure the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) is dynamically reviewed and maintained based on relevant risk triggers and business changes. Maintain effective relationships with 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence risk functions; support liaison with Internal/External Audit – need based.
  • Support Product and risk lead with end-to-end incident management, including timely updates in GEMS/ Helios, action tracking, and stakeholder follow-ups through a formal closure. Perform Thematic analysis of Incidents across Custody, identifying recurring drivers and risk themes, producing insights/trend reporting, and recommending control/process improvements to reduce reoccurrence.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of risk and governance packs, coordinating inputs from stakeholders, validating data accuracy, and producing clear, timely materials for governance forums and decision-making. Continually reassess end-to-end risks considering changes in economic/market conditions, legal/regulatory requirements, operating practices, management restructuring and new technology, ensuring actions align to risk appetite.
  • As a member of the Non-Financial Risk business risk management team, contributes to the broader strategy and performance of the global function. Support the Non financial risk and Custody senior management in ensuring the appropriate risk and control structure is in place and that risks that have been highlighted and are managed appropriately.
  • Ensure succinct and concise communication of risk matters across Custody - Securities Services and other relevant areas of the bank. Provide consistent internal and external benchmarking, where appropriate. Attend critical Securities Services / Country level Risk & Control committees/forums and ensure that the agenda effectively covers critical Custody risks and issues.
  • Regularly review the Non Financial Risk teams’ priorities, activities, structure, and resources, optimally aligning to business needs and risk appetite.
  • Implement supporting strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that product/operational (and other) risks are managed closely and effectively, in a commercially sensitive and practical manner. Drive to ensure that the business risk profile, and any related issues/impacts, are understood by the business and the appropriate actions (and/or risk acceptance) have been put in place to manage within appetite.
To be successful, you will:
  • In-depth knowledge of Securities Services activities, products and processes, with specific knowledge of Custody Business. Strong risk/control background and understanding of risk management framework.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Proven organizational, planning, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to manage multiple outputs simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders across countries/cultures and manage expectations, comfortable engaging senior management.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in related fields such as business or finance.
  • Previous experience in operational risk or internal risk and control function.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with reporting tools and databases. Data-driven automation/analytics skills (e.g., AI, advanced Excel, Python, Power BI) as an added advantage.
  • Broad awareness of the external environment (regulatory/political/competitors) impacting Securities Services.
