In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, writing optimized SQL queries, managing databases, and ensuring smooth API integrations for enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Node.js
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries, joins, indexing, and stored procedures in MySQL
• Build and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance REST APIs
• Design efficient database schemas to support application logic and business requirements
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product managers for seamless integration
• Implement authentication, authorization, and other backend services
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging
• Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and performance
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and frameworks like Express.js
• Deep knowledge of MySQL, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and database normalization
• Experience in RESTful API development and integration
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), asynchronous programming, and error handling
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Experience with Postman, SQL clients, and database management tools

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of ORMs like Sequelize or Knex.js (and also raw SQL when required)
• Exposure to Docker, Redis, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Experience with unit testing (Mocha, Jest, etc.)
• Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time data handling
• Understanding of backend security best practices
