Job summary

Recro Bengaluru is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services and APIs. You will own projects, drive high-performance features, and collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

The role emphasizes microservices architecture, system design, and hands-on work with Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka, along with Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4–7 years of professional backend software development experience.
• Hands-on with Node.js and NestJS frameworks.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, and Kafka.
• B2C experience is a must.
• Familiar with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of microservices and system design principles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of Datadog and ELK stack is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of projects and features for high performance and reliability.
• Architect and enhance microservices within a distributed system.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Jenkins.
• Manage and monitor deployments using Kubernetes.
• Work with databases like MongoDB, Redis and messaging systems like Kafka.
• Monitor and optimize application performance using Datadog.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as part of on-call rotation.
