NIC Scientific Technical Assistant Qualification

• Computer Sciences & Information Technology: A pass in M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Sciences, Computer and Networking Security, Software System, Information Technology, or Informatics (single or in combination), along with a valid GATE score in Paper Code CS.
• Electronics and Communication Engineering: Candidates must possess a valid GATE score in Paper Code EC. The notification does not separately detail the qualifying degree fields for this discipline beyond the GATE requirement.

NICRecruitment Selection Process

• Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria and who have registered on the NIC recruitment portal will be considered.
• Acategory-wise merit listwill be prepared for each discipline based on the GATE Score. Equal weightage is given to GATE 2024, 2025, and 2026 scores.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria (in order): (1) Older year GATE score ranked higher; (2) if same year and score, older candidate by age ranked higher; (3) if still tied, higher percentage in essential qualification ranked higher.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called forDocument Verificationas per vacancies before a provisional appointment is offered.
• Document Verification will be conducted at Delhi or another approved location; no TA/DA will be paid, and no request for postponement or location change will be entertained.
• Aadhaar-based authentication will be used at every stage of the recruitment process.
