Testing Lead (RESPONSIBILITIES)

The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:

1. Create and run functional, application, regression, ad-hoc, and integration tests including both positive and negative scenarios.
2. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans.
3. Perform integration and functional testing for code delivered by the development team during each sprint. Become a reference for the QA team for integrations and their configurations.
4. Participate in sprint planning and story creation to identify items that will need to be resolved prior to testing.
5. Collaborate with developers, business analysts and project management teams to develop, publish and implement software quality assurance plans along with appropriate KPIs.
6. Design and implement test strategy and develop estimates.
7. Provide technical leadership/supervision for the creation, design, execution, documentation and maintenance of test plans and test cases (automated and manual testing).
8. Lead onshore and offshore testers to ensure testing deliverables are met.
9. Follow standard QA methodologies to ensure the delivery of quality products.
10. Log and report defects and escalate issues.
11. Track QA metrics like defect densities and open defect counts.
12. Work to meet project schedules, timelines and deadlines.
13. Provide accurate estimates to assigned tasks.
14. Must demonstrate an understanding of test automation frameworks and creating framework from scratch, if needed.
15. Experience with Test Management tools.
16. Support business users in UAT activities for all major and minor releases.
17. Support occasional weekend production validation work for all major releases.
18. Strong attention to detail.
19. Proactive nature, with a strong work ethic and eagerness to take initiative and go the extra mile.

Ideal Experience and Critical Competencies

1. 9-11 years of experience in software testing or related fields.
2. 9+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance experience with a key role in building and enhancing a QA function.
3. Experience with product development and testing life cycles including test approach and test case reviews.
4. Experience leading and providing oversight for multiple QA teams using agile or scrum methodologies.
5. Experience creating and maintaining test suites and cases in Azure DevOps Test Plans.
6. Experience in Test Automation using Selenium and BDD approach.
7. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
8. Familiarity with web app/SAAS/Paas software development, Azure Cloud computing solutions, Dynamics 365 and working knowledge of any Relational Database and DB Queries.
9. Hands-on experience with Selenium.
10. Any prior experience with automating CRM, a big plus.
11. Professional experience with software lifecycle management / Azure DevOps in a fast-paced software environment.
12. The applicant must also have: Defect management experience and Test Life Cycle Management, any period of experience creating and reviewing of Testing Artifacts right from Test Strategy through Test completion report.
13. Must have working knowledge of DevOps Principles and Practices (CI, CD, Continuous Testing, etc.).
14. Well versed with approaches like BDD, Keyword Driven and Data Driven test automation.
