Job summary

Movate Technologies in Chennai is seeking a NextGen QA Engineer (Playwright + AI Testing) with 6–8 years of experience for an onsite role.

You will split time 50% automation and 50% manual testing, develop and maintain Playwright scripts, perform functional and exploratory testing, and use AI tools for test generation and debugging.

Immediate notice, five-day onsite workweek; strong communication and quick learning are essential to ensure ecosystem coverage and deliver quality releases.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with Playwright (JS/TS) and strong manual testing fundamentals.
• Experience with STLC, test design, and functional/regression testing.
• Familiarity with Jira/Xray or Azure DevOps for test management.
• Ability to understand application ecosystem and workflows quickly.
• Exposure to AI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT) for test generation and debugging.
• Nice to have CI/CD experience and API testing basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Playwright automation scripts.
• Perform manual functional and exploratory testing.
• Understand the ecosystem to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and debugging.
• Conduct basic performance checks (Lighthouse) and report defects.
