Job summary

Mijas Consultants Jaipur is seeking an experienced powertrain engineer to design, develop, and test powertrain systems for vehicles. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate powertrain components within overall vehicle design, while supporting field investigations and VA/VE activities.

Ideal candidates bring 3–7 years in new product development, CAD skills, and a strong understanding of BEV powertrains and regulatory standards. On-site opportunity in Gurugram.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical/Automobile engineering with 3-7 years in new product development.
• Good knowledge of NPD, VA/VE activities, proto parts development & testing, failure parts investigation & localization.
• Desirable: CAD software knowledge, BEV powertrain knowledge, research paper publications.

Responsibilities

• Powertrain Component development activities.

Position Summary

Their role combines mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to design, build, and test to ensure they meet vehicle performance objectives.

Job Responsibilities 1

Powertrain Component development activities.

Running change approval from customer.

Validation activities on vehicle for carryover product.

Technical support for field claim parts investigation.

Localization & VA /VE activities.

Job Responsibilities 2

Analyse, design, and develop powertrain products to meet specific performance and efficiency goals. Collaborate with other engineers and departments, including software and hardware teams, to integrate and align powertrain product and systems within overall vehicle design

Conduct testing, diagnose problems, and propose solutions to improve powertrain performance. Interpret and apply relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols during powertrain design and development

Coordinate and perform software and hardware updates to optimize powertrain performance

Document all aspects of the powertrain system for quality control, maintenance, and future reference

Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to powertrain engineering
