Job summary

Max Healthcare in Dwarka, Gujarat seeks a Neurology specialist to provide comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, ICU and emergency neurology consultations. You will diagnose and manage strokes, seizures, headaches and other neuro disorders, review imaging and coordinate with Neurosurgery, Critical Care and Radiology teams.

The role requires MD/DM-level training with valid NMC/State registrations, and a commitment to patient care, documentation, rounds and academic activities.

Qualifications

• MBBS and advanced neurology qualifications with national recognition.
• Valid registration with NMC or state medical council.
• Specialized training in neurology with DM/DrNB/DNB.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OPD, IPD, ICU and emergency neurology consultations.
• Diagnose and manage strokes, epilepsy, headaches, vertigo and movement disorders.
• Handle acute neuro emergencies including stroke and seizures.
• Review CT/MRI brain, EEG, EMG/NCV and related investigations.
• Coordinate with Neurosurgery, Critical Care, Radiology and Rehab teams.
• Maintain patient records, discharge summaries and care plans.
• Guide residents and junior doctors and participate in audits.

Qualification

• MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine followed byDM/DrNB/DNB in Neurology from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with NMC/State Medical Council.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensiveOPD, IPD, ICU and emergency neurology consultations.
• Diagnose and manage neurological conditions includingstroke, epilepsy, headache disorders, vertigo, neuropathies, movement disorders, neuroinfections and neurodegenerative disorders.
• Manage acute neurological emergencies, includingacute stroke, seizures and other neurocritical cases.
• Conduct detailed neurological examinations and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Review and interpretCT/MRI brain, EEG, EMG/NCV and other relevant investigations.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Coordinate withNeurosurgery, Critical Care, Emergency, Radiology, Rehabilitation and other multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Provide appropriate counselling to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, consultation notes, prescriptions and discharge summaries.
• Participate in clinical rounds, case discussions, departmental meetings, CMEs and academic activities.
• Support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and evidence‑based clinical practices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, patient safety standards, infection control practices and ethical guidelines.
• Guide and support residents and junior medical staff in patient management.
• Contribute to the development and growth of neurology services within the hospital.

Experience
