Job summary

Cisco IT's Data Center Network Services team designs, builds and operates scalable DC network infrastructure to support Cisco Engineering and business functions worldwide.

You will design, develop, test and deploy DC network capabilities, collaborating with engineers and internal clients to deliver high-quality solutions that enable a reliable, adaptable network for Cisco's operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology with 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, operating and managing scalable DC network infrastructure (using Nexus OS).
• Strong knowledge in TCP/IP internetworking, routing, switching, networking protocols and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating Cisco hardware, including Nexus routers, ACI, ASA firewalls, and FirePower NGFWs.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VRF/VDC) and compute (Linux, VMware, OpenStack).
• Familiarity with DevOps, Agile practices and incident/change management.

We are the Data Center Network Services team within Cisco IT that supports network services for Cisco Engineering and business functions worldwide. Your Impact

You will design, develop, test and deploy DC network capabilities within the Data Center Network. You are engaging and comfortable collaborating with fellow engineers across multiple disciplines as well as internal clients. You will create innovative, high-quality capabilities enabling our clients to have the best possible experience.

• Bachelor of Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying, operating and managing scalable DC network infrastructure (using Nexus OS)
• Strong knowledge in TCP/IP internetworking, routing, switching, networking protocols and routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating Cisco hardware, including Nexus routers, ACI, ASA firewalls, and FirePower NGFWs.
• Virtualisation technologies, both networking (VRF, VDC) and understanding of compute (Linux, VMware, OpenStack).
• Experience on handling incident, problem and change management
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, comfortable with Agile practices

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP or CCIE
• Expertise on Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies.
• Expertise on latest Cisco hardware and operating systems (Catalyst, Nexus, IOS/IOS-XE/IOS-XR, NX-OS and ACI)
• Large-scale network infrastructure support skills and in-depth knowledge of network management, network availability, and network automation.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Git and REST API.
• Expert-level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
• Experience with Agile methodology and CI/CD.
