Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement and operate secure network infrastructures across on-premises and cloud environments. The role requires 8–12 years of experience and hands-on expertise with F5 LTM/GTM, VPNs, IPS/IDS, NAT, and threat prevention technologies.

The candidate will lead security architecture initiatives, define standards, and work across hybrid infrastructures to ensure secure connectivity and optimized application

Qualifications

• Experience in network security engineering.
• Hands-on with F5 LTM/GTM.
• Routing & Switching including BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of VPNs, IPS/IDS, NAT and network segmentation.
• Threat prevention technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure network architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Define and implement network security standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls (or similar technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Check Point).
• Implement and maintain network segmentation, access controls, and threat prevention mechanisms.
• Perform security reviews and risk assessments for new and existing infrastructure.
• Load Balancing & Traffic Management.
• Design and manage F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS) solutions.
• Optimize application delivery through secure load balancing and traffic routing.
• Work with services such as security groups, NACLs, WAF, VPNs, and private endpoints.
• Ensure secure connectivity across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Customer & Problem Resolution.
• Engage with customers/stakeholders to understand requirements and solve complex security challenges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority network security incidents.
• Operations & Continuous Improvement.
• Monitor and improve network security posture.
• Automate security processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
