Job summary

Bandhan Technologies Private Limited is seeking a Network Security Specialist to safeguard the organization’s network perimeter, including cloud, LAN, and wireless access points. The role involves establishing security baselines and actively contributing to incident response.

You will review NGFW/UTM/WAF configurations from an audit perspective and support security risk and compliance audits with required documentation. 5 days on-site in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of hands-on experience in network security or related cybersecurity domain.
• Hands-on experience with NGFW, UTM, and WAF technologies and configuration review.
• Strong understanding of cloud perimeter security concepts and LAN/wireless security.
• Experience in incident response processes and security risk/compliance audits.
• Willingness to work 5 days from the Kalina, Mumbai office with travel to Noida and Greater Noida locations.

Role Overview

The Network Security Specialist will be responsible for securing the organization's network perimeter — including cloud perimeter, LAN, and wireless access points. The role involves establishing and enforcing security baselines across network devices, reviewing configurations from an audit perspective, and actively participating in incident response for network-related security events.

Key Responsibilities

• Secure the network perimeter, including cloud perimeter, LAN, and wireless access points (APs).
• Establish security baselines for network devices and components, and enforce security policies consistently across the environment.
• Review configuration and access controls of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Unified Threat Management (UTM), and Web Application Firewall (WAF) devices from a security audit perspective.
• Participate as part of the incident response team for network-related security incidents, including investigation and remediation.
• Assist in security risk and compliance audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence of network security controls.
• Monitor network security devices and components on an ongoing basis to identify misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, or policy violations.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure and security teams to remediate identified gaps and strengthen network defenses.
• Stay updated on emerging network security threats and recommend improvements to existing architecture and controls.

Travel Requirement

Occasional travel to the Noida (Film City) office and Bennett University (BU), Greater Noida, will be required. Travel and accommodation will be arranged by The Times Group, with local conveyance reimbursed at actuals.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–9 years of relevant experience in network security or a related cybersecurity domain.
• Strong hands-on experience with NGFW, UTM, and WAF technologies (configuration review and management).
• Solid understanding of cloud perimeter security concepts and controls.
• Experience securing LAN infrastructure and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with network security baselining and policy enforcement practices.
• Experience participating in incident response processes for network security incidents.
• Exposure to security risk and compliance audit processes.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail in configuration reviews.
• Willingness to work 5 days from the Kalina, Mumbai office, with occasional travel to Noida and Greater Noida locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific NGFW/WAF certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5).
• Prior experience in a media, publishing, or large enterprise environment.
