Job summary

Rackspace Technology seeks a Security Operations professional to monitor customer networks and security environments 24x7. You will manage firewall and Azure alerts, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate with internal teams to restore service.

Join a shift-based operations team, document incidents and actions, and ensure adherence to SLAs while helping customers reduce risk across hybrid and multi-cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring security environments and alerts.
• Knowledge of firewall policies and network security concepts.
• Certifications like PCNSA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer network and security environments to ensure availability, performance, and security.
• Perform continuous monitoring of firewall and Azure networking alerts/events and respond according to operational procedures.
• Handle customer incidents, requests, and service tickets within agreed SLAs.
• Take care first-level troubleshooting for firewall, connectivity, routing, and security-related incidents.
• Acknowledge standard operational tasks, service requests, and pre-approved changes following the established process.
• Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 teams with complete diagnostic details.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, requests, changes, and customer communications.
• Assist with routine health checks and operational reporting activities.
• Follow-up incident, problem, change, and maintenance management processes.
• Participate in shift-based operations and provide support during planned maintenance windows.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to provide timely issue updates and resolution status.

• Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with:
  • Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Panorama
