Job summary

ACPL Systems in Gurgaon is seeking a Network Security Engineer (L1) to manage and support enterprise firewall environments, focusing on FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls.

You will monitor, configure, and troubleshoot firewall rules, analyze security events, and collaborate with internal teams to maintain security standards. This role offers growth in information security and hands-on incident response.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on firewall experience.
• Experience with FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT and VPN.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls.
• Perform firewall policy creation, modification and optimization.
• Analyse security events and respond to firewall-related incidents.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and security issues.
• Implement and maintain firewall rules per security policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve network and security incidents.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for firewall configurations and changes.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer (L1) with hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise firewall environments. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls, along with a strong understanding of network security fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto and FortiGate firewalls.

Required Skills:

• Expereince : 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience with:
• FortiGate Firewalls
• Strong understanding of:
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN
• Routing and Switching concepts
• Network Security fundamentals
• Experience in firewall policy management and troubleshooting.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
