Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking a Network Performance Engineer (Messaging & Signaling) with 7-11 years of telecom experience to own end-to-end capacity planning and performance analysis for messaging and signaling networks.

You will analyze SMS traffic, forecast growth, monitor SMSC, STP/SSTP, SS7, SIGTRAN, and SCTP dimensions; identify bottlenecks and advise capacity expansion and optimization.

Qualifications

• 7-11 years of relevant telecom network performance experience.
• Strong experience with SMSC, STP/SSTP, SS7 and SIGTRAN environments.
• Expertise in SMS traffic analysis, TPS monitoring, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; capable of collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end capacity planning and performance analysis for messaging and signaling networks.
• Perform SMS traffic analysis and forecast future traffic growth trends.
• Analyze TPS utilization and develop capacity models based on traffic demand.
• Monitor SMSC capacity and identify potential service-impacting constraints.
• Manage capacity planning and performance monitoring for STP/SSTP, SS7, and SIGTRAN networks.
• Conduct SCTP and signaling-link utilization analysis and dimensioning.
• Identify congestion points, bottlenecks, and network performance risks.
• Recommend capacity expansion, load balancing, and optimization actions.
• Monitor messaging and signaling KPIs to support service quality and availability.
• Perform trend analysis and provide proactive recommendations for network scalability.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of messaging and signaling performance issues.
• Prepare performance dashboards, capacity reports, and technical recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations, planning, engineering, and implementation teams.
