About the job
We are seeking a customer service–oriented Network and Security engineer with 8-10+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise and service provider networking. This role is primarily focused on routing, switching, firewalling, load balancing, virtualized network services, and architect‑level design work (HLD/LLD documentation for large‑scale enterprise and cloud customer service deliveries).
The successful candidate will be a rockstar in core networking who can both design and operate complex network infrastructures, while also leading customer‑facing design discussions and producing professional documentation. Additional exposure to IPv6, VXLAN/NSX‑T, and Cisco ACI is considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and document enterprise network solutions with detailed HLD (High‑Level Design) and LLD (Low‑Level Design) diagrams for large‑scale enterprise and cloud customers.
- Design and implement core network systems by defining configurations, overseeing installation, and enforcing standards.
- Deploy and manage virtualized network services, including virtual firewalls, routers, and load balancers across private cloud and enterprise environments.
- Optimize and secure network performance through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with peers and architects on advanced routing/switching and network optimization strategies.
- Manage and maintain firewall environments, including segmentation, policies, and threat prevention.
- Architect and support load balancing solutions for mission‑critical workloads.
- Act as a Tier‑2/3 escalation point for complex networking issues.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers to gather requirements, present designs, and ensure delivery excellence.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of enterprise and service provider networking expertise, focused on routing, switching, firewalling, load balancing, and virtualized network services.
- Proven ability to produce professional HLD/LLD designs and present them to enterprise/cloud customers.
- Deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, static/dynamic routing).
- Deep knowledge of the TCP/IP stack with the ability to troubleshoot at the packet level using Wireshark or similar tools.
- Hands‑on experience with physical and virtual firewalls (Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Strong background with physical and virtual load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC/NetScaler, A10).
- Experience deploying virtual routers in enterprise or cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of VLANs, trunking, STP, Nexus VPC, and enterprise switching (Cisco Nexus, Arista, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
- Experience working with global enterprise customers (North America, Europe, or APAC).
- CCNP required; CCIE strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative global team.
- Good understanding of Azure networking features and platform to maintain current Azure deployments as well as design and deploy new ones.
