Job summary
A technology solutions company in India is looking for a Level 2 Network Support Engineer. In this role, you will monitor and troubleshoot network issues, configure devices, and assist in network infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has experience with Cisco and Juniper devices and a strong understanding of WAN/LAN technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for network-related issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and VPN.
- Configure and manage network devices like Cisco and Juniper.
- Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for network-related issues escalated from the help desk or L1 support.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Configure and manage Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network devices.
- Perform network upgrades, patching, and maintenance during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Assist in the implementation of network infrastructure projects (routing, switching, wireless, security).
- Manage IP address allocation and DNS/DHCP configuration.
- Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization.
- Maintain network documentation, including diagrams and inventory.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve outages and connectivity issues.
- Support network security protocols and assist with audits and compliance checks
