Job summary

iConsultera is seeking a Network Associate in India to maintain, monitor, and optimize telecom network infrastructure. You will support internal teams and clients, ensuring uninterrupted services and working with carriers on provisioning and upgrades. The role requires a B.Tech/B.E.

in CS/IT or related field and 2+ years of networking experience in telecom/ISP environments. You will engage in ward-rotational shifts if needed and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive network

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of networking experience in telecom/ISP environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Huawei equipment.
• Experience with ISPs or telecom carriers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Collaborate with telecom service providers for circuit provisioning, fault resolution, and upgrades.
• Configure and manage network devices following standard protocols.
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and elevate unresolved issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and asset inventories.
• Support implementation of network projects, migrations, and capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and assist in periodic audits.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (NOC, IT, VoIP, Infrastructure) to support operations.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Network Associate with hands-on experience in the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing network infrastructure, supporting internal teams and external clients, and ensuring uninterrupted network services.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of networking experience, preferably in telecom or ISP environments.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with telecom hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.).
• Experience working with ISPs, telecom carriers, or enterprise voice/data networks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts (if required).

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

• CCNA / JNCIA / CompTIA Network+
• Exposure to SD-WAN, VoIP, or network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG).
• Experience in telecom provisioning systems or NOC support.
