Company Overview

We help companies staff up quickly, and right now we’re hiring for a client of ours in the logistics and supply chain space. They need a .NET Developer, and they’re flexible on how the arrangement works — full-time, part-time, or contract — as long as it’s remote and the person’s a good fit. Multiple locations across India are fine.

Job Summary

Our client needs a .NET developer who can actually build things, not just patch them. You’d be writing new applications from scratch, tweaking existing systems, and helping users when something breaks. It’s a good fit if you write solid code, catch bugs before anyone else does, and can hold a real conversation about software architecture instead of just following a spec. Mostly, you’ll be working alongside their internal teams to get software out the door and keep it running well.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of a system or product’s design and delivery — the whole thing, not just your slice of it.
Keep existing systems running: upgrades, configuration tweaks, and the occasional late-night debug session.
Help users out when web, desktop, or mobile apps aren’t behaving.
Sit in on requirements discussions and actually shape what gets built.
Work with the team to figure out the right design and architecture before writing a line of code.
Write code that’s clean enough that someone else can read it in six months.
Get things tested and out the door.
Go back and fix, refactor, or improve code that’s not pulling its weight anymore.
Keep documentation up to date as the project moves through its lifecycle.
Be the person people come to when they have questions about how the application actually works.

Required Skills

You can write functional code and, just as importantly, spot what’s broken in someone else’s.
You understand software design and architecture well enough to make real decisions, not just follow templates.
Comfortable in ASP.NET and other .NET languages.
Know your way around SQL and Oracle.
Reasonably fluent in web technologies and current development practices.
Debugging doesn’t scare you, and you’ve supported production systems before.
You get how the SDLC works, not just in theory.
You communicate well and don’t disappear when a team needs input.

AI Experience

If you’ve used Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools to move faster on coding or docs, that’s a plus — not a requirement.
You don’t need AI/ML chops for this role, just an awareness that AI tooling is showing up more in day‑to‑day .NET work.

Managerial Experience

This is an individual contributor role — no direct reports, no team‑lead pressure.
That said, you should be someone the internal teams can lean on when design or architecture decisions come up.

Operational Experience

You’ve supported live web, desktop, or mobile applications, not just built them in isolation.
You’ve handled upgrades and config changes on production systems without breaking things.
You keep documentation current as you go, rather than scrambling at the end of a project.
