Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a .NET Developer in Gurugram for hybrid work. You will design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using .NET, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You’ll collaborate with product and UX teams to deliver robust solutions and ensure code quality through reviews.

Strong SQL Server skills and Agile experience are a plus. The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience, a proactive learner, and a readiness to work in a dynamic, globally connected engineering

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in .NET development.
• Strong knowledge of .NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET.
• Experience designing web apps, APIs, and services.
• Front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Angular/React a plus).
• Experience with SQL Server and database design.
• Able to work in hybrid Gurugram environment and with Agile teams.

About The Role

Job Title: .net Developer

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of .NET framework and development best practices, with experience in C# and ASP.NET.
• Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, services, and APIs.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
• Experience with database technologies like SQL Server, including designing schemas, writing queries, and optimizing database performance.
• Skilled in code versioning tools (e.g., Git) and working with Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement solutions, contributing to continuous improvement through code reviews.
• Document code, processes, and workflows to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to security best practices in coding and data handling.
• Ability to manage projects independently by reviewing objectives, input data, and output requirements with business stakeholders.
• Report issues and concerns promptly to the manager and relevant teams.

Skills

• Experience: 3 - 5 years in .NET development.
• Looking for a talented developer to create, debug, and enhance secure and functional code.
• Working knowledge of Genius application is advantageous.
• Candidate should have experience working on .NET technologies and be able to design and build superior and innovative tools by writing clean and efficient code. Additionally, the candidate should contribute to the maintenance of existing tools for business continuity purposes.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand, create, manipulate, and debug codes.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, .NET Developer certifications) are a plus.
