The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in **.NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, C#, and SQL Server**, along with hands-on experience in RESTful API development, database optimization, security, performance tuning, and modern software development practices.

Angular experience is **good to have** but is not mandatory for the backend engineer position.

Key Responsibilities

1. Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using **.NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and C#**.
• Develop scalable and secure **RESTful APIs and Web APIs**.
• Implement modern .NET features and best practices.
• Follow **SOLID principles and Dependency Injection**.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.

2. API Development & Integration

• Design and develop scalable REST APIs using ASP.NET Core.
• Implement API versioning, rate limiting, and throttling.
• Implement **OAuth 2.0, JWT, and OpenID Connect** for API security.
• Create API documentation using **Swagger/OpenAPI**.
• Develop and consume third-party APIs and webhooks.
• Implement API monitoring, logging, and middleware components.

3. Database Development

• Design and maintain efficient **SQL Server** databases.
• Develop complex **T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers**.
• Optimize database queries and improve application performance.
• Work with **Entity Framework Core**.
• Implement database migrations and versioning strategies.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases is an added advantage.

4. CI/CD & Releases

• Develop and maintain **CI/CD pipelines using GitHub**.
• Automate development, deployment, and release processes.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure application quality.
• Support smooth production releases.

5. Performance Optimization

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in .NET applications and APIs.
• Optimize database queries and API response times.
• Implement asynchronous programming using **async/await**.
• Improve application scalability, memory utilization, and throughput.

6. Security

• Follow information security and secure coding guidelines.
• Implement **OWASP API Security Top 10** best practices.
• Identify and mitigate application security risks.
• Participate in security audits and improve application security.

7. Production Support

• Collaborate with the L2 Support team for patches and releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions.

Required Technical Skills
