Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Backend Developer in Mumbai to join the engineering team and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using .NET Core 6, C#, and Azure services. You will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and data access layers with SQL Server.

You will collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure performance, security, and reliability while following Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 3+ years of backend development experience with .NET ecosystem.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# / .NET Core 6 and Azure.
• Experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our engineering team and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in .NET Core 6, C#, ASP.NET Web API, Azure services, SQL Server, and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using .NET Core 6 and C#.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API.
• Design and implement applications based on microservices architecture.
• Work with Microsoft Azure services to develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, stored procedures, and data-access layers.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Integrate backend services with internal and external systems through APIs.
• Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Follow software development best practices, coding standards, and Agile methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core 6.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, database design, SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with API development, integration, authentication, and authorization.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and software design patterns.
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure-based application deployment and cloud-native development.

• Understanding of automated testing and unit testing frameworks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
