Job summary

Navsys Marine Technologies Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, invites applications for the position of General Manager (Marine Closures). The role leads the Marine Closures division responsible for watertight and gastight doors, hatches, and related closure systems, driving productivity, quality, and asset utilization.

You will champion lean manufacturing, ensure ISO/IMO/IACS compliance, coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Design, QC and Facility Management, and contribute to annual plans and cost reduction

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution and Government of India recognized university.
• 1+ years in steel fabrication/industrial production.
• 1+ years in managerial capacity leading teams.
• Age below 40 years.
• Exposure to marine fabrication standards (IMO/IACS), lean manufacturing, and ERP-based production systems.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Full ownership of productivity, quality, and asset utilization in the Marine Closures division.
• Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing practices, reduce cycle times, and enhance throughput.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure adherence to ISO/IMO/IACS standards, enforce safety-conscious operations, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with Stores, Purchase, Design, QC and Facility Management for seamless operations.
• Asset Management: Oversee preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and cost-effective utilization of plant assets.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to annual operating plans, cost reduction initiatives, and long-term capacity expansion.
• Compliance: Ensure statutory compliance with labour laws, environmental regulations, and corporate governance standards.
• Reporting: Present monthly MIS reports on productivity, quality metrics, cost variances, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Reports To: Vice President Production/ Operations

Role Summary

The General Manager (Marine Closures) will lead the division responsible for manufacturing watertight and gastight doors, hatches, and related marine closure systems. The incumbent will own productivity, in-process quality management, and asset performance, while driving continuous improvement, profitability, safety, and stakeholder alignment across departments.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/BTech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from a reputed institution and Government of India recognized university.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1+ years in steel fabrication/industrial production.
• Minimum 1+ years in managerial capacity leading teams and operations.
• Age: Below 40 years.
• Preferred: Exposure to marine fabrication standards (IMO/ IACS Standards), lean manufacturing, and ERPbased production systems.
