Job summary

Yashaswi Group in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, is hiring for a NAPS Trainee / Automotive Assembly Technician Apprentice to work on the manufacturing shop floor under line leaders and production supervisors.

You will assist in sequential assembly of driveline components, operate semi-automated machines, perform basic quality inspections, handle materials, maintain 5S discipline and PPE compliance, and complete required logs under the NAPS Portal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Qualification: 10th,12th/ITI/ Diploma/Any Degree.

Responsibilities

• As a NAPS Trainee on the manufacturing shop floor, you will work under the direct supervision of line leaders and production supervisors to perform the following duties:
• Assembly Operations: Assist in the sequential assembly of precision driveline components, such as constant velocity (CV) joints, propshafts, and sideshafts.
• Machine Operation: Operate semi-automated assembly machines, basic pneumatic tools, and handling equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Quality Inspection: Perform visual quality checks and basic measurements on completed components to catch defects or deviations before line-clearance.
• Material Management: Handle, sort, and move raw materials and semi-finished parts safely to designated line stations.
• 5S & Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace by actively practicing 5S discipline and adhering strictly to plant safety gear (PPE) policies.
• Logbook Maintenance: Complete regular logs on production output, attendance records, and periodic training reports required under the NAPS Portal guidelines.
