We are seeking an experienced MySQL Developer with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in database design, development, and optimization, preferably within the Healthcare or Medical domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in managing sensitive patient and clinical data while ensuring high performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
Design, develop, and maintain MySQL databases for healthcare applications.
Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
Manage large datasets including patient records, clinical data, and medical transactions.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
Work closely with application developers to optimize database interactions.
Support data migration and integration activities.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA/GDPR.
Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues proactively.
4–6 years of strong hands‑on experience with MySQL.
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
Strong understanding of indexing, normalization, and database design principles.
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high‑availability setups.
Familiarity with data security best practices.
Experience with database backup and recovery processes.
Proficiency with version control tools (Git).
Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python) is an advantage.
Experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) / Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
Experience handling sensitive patient data.
Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, or other healthcare data protection regulations.
Experience with healthcare reporting and compliance audits.
Exposure to cloud database environments (AWS RDS, Azure Database).
Experience with data warehousing or reporting tools.
Knowledge of ETL processes and data migration.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
