Job summary

LetzBizz is seeking a Cloud DB Engineer (MYSQL DBA) with 15+ years of experience for an on-site role in Chennai. You will lead production DB management across MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB and related technologies, including AWS RDS/Aurora/Redshift, plus backup, recovery and performance tuning.

The ideal candidate will have strong administration skills, experience with migrations to cloud DB services, and proficiency in ETL replication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in production DB management and administration.
• Strong expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL and MariaDB across environments.
• Extensive AWS cloud experience with RDS, Aurora and Redshift.
• Proven backup/recovery, tuning and migration skills for DBs and ETL processes.
• Hands-on with Linux/Windows server environments and NoSQL basics (CosmosDB, MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DB administration for MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB and SQL Server.
• Plan and implement backup, recovery, replication and performance tuning.
• Migrate databases to AWS cloud services and manage ETL replication to Redshift.
• Monitor DB health and ensure timely delivery across multiple projects.

Job Description

• Strong technical expertise on SQL, NoSQL and databases like PostgresDB, SQL Server, CosmosDB, MongoDB, Cassendra and Cloud DB
• Minimum 10 + years of experience in production DB management
• Working experience on relational database and non-relational database administrationWorking experience in advanced DB management, backup/recovery and tuning.
• Has good hands-on MySQL, Postgresql and Maria database installation, creation, configuration and fine tuning
• Good experience in MySQL different versions (MySQL-5.6.x,5.7.x and 8.x)
• MySQL installation and configuration, Monitoring, backup and recovery, Point in time recovery
• MySQL replication concepts(Master-slave, Master-Master, HA availability clusters like Galer, etc)
• MySQL Performance tuning and query tuning, DB version upgrade.
• MariaDB – Good experience in MariaDB different versions (MariaDB-10.x,11.x)
• MIria DB Installation, version upgrade, replication, backup and restore, Performance tuning and query tuning and Monitoring
• Must have good experience in AWS cloud MariaDB in ec2 and RDS.
• PostgreSQL – Good experience in AWS PostgreSQL RDS and Aurora.

• Must have good experience in AWS cloud database services like RDS MySQL and Aurora MySQL.
• Redshift – AWS Redshift configuration, installation, backup and restore, DB version upgrade, User management, Database Migration.
• Must have good experience in AWS DMS.
• Migration database from physical servers to AWS cloud DB services and configuring ETL replication from RDS to redshift through AWS DMS.
• Should possess work experience on migration/upgradation projects On-premise or On-premise to cloud.
• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product life cycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
• Have a good understanding and exposure to project deliverables and timely delivery.
• MongoDB – MongoDB installation, backup and restore, user management.
• Good to know about the AWS document DB.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
• Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, Maria, PostgreSQL, Redshift MongoDB)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
