Job summary

Monks in India is seeking a MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using the Anypoint Platform. You will work across the SDLC, collaborating with internal teams and ensuring secure, scalable solutions.

The role requires 2–4 years of MuleSoft experience, strong DataWeave and RAML skills, Java coding, and experience with SOAP/REST services. This is a hybrid role based in Gurugram, offering opportunities to work on advanced integration projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, IT or related field.
• 2–4 years’ experience as a MuleSoft Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and related tools.
• Experience with SOAP/REST, RAML, and complex data transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, integrations, and services using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform.
• Utilize DataWeave for data transformation and orchestration.
• Write custom Java functionality when MuleSoft features are unavailable.
• Participate in the full SDLC from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement security, encryption, and authentication on integrations and APIs.
• Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize integration and API performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and perform code reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with MuleSoft technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, integrations, and services using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform.
• Utilize complex DataWeave transformations for data manipulation and orchestration.
• Write custom functionality in Java when not available in MuleSoft.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle: from requirement gathering, design, and development, through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and understand the requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement security, encryption, and authentication on integrations and APIs.
• Proficiently troubleshoot and resolve integration and API issues.
• Monitor, analyze and optimize integration and API performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with MuleSoft's latest technologies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a MuleSoft Developer or similar role, ideally between 2 to 4 years.
• Strong knowledge of MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform, MuleSoft AnyPoint Studio, and related technologies.
• Experience with SOAP and REST web services, RAML in Mule, and complex data transformation languages like DataWeave.
• Experience in writing custom functionality in Java that's not available in MuleSoft.
• Working knowledge in writing PL/SQL in any RDBMS such as SQL, Oracle etc.
• Knowledge of integration patterns and best practices.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
