Job summary

MTU marine diesel engine specialist mechanic required with 1–3 years of diesel engine experience. Travel abroad to Bahrain or Oman may be required; passport is a must. Age up to 45; male candidates only.

You will perform routine maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on shipboard machinery, keep maintenance records, and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of diesel engine mechanics experience (marine engineering).
• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of marine works, marine engineering, and maintenance functions.
• Proficiency in fault finding techniques for complex mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on marine engines, including overhauling and repairing mechanical components.
• Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting to identify issues with hydraulic systems, pumps, and other equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of all shipboard machinery and equipment by performing regular inspections and monitoring.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues related to marine operations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory management.
