Mydbops is seeking a skilled MSSQL Engineer to ensure performance, availability, security, and reliability of MSSQL databases supporting critical applications. You will work across production and non-production environments to optimize and protect data assets.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of hands-on MSSQL experience, expertise in performance tuning, and solid backup/DR planning. Collaboration with DevOps and infra teams is essential for smooth deployments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of MSSQL database administration experience.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, and maintain MSSQL databases across environments.
• Monitor performance; perform tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage backups, restores, and DR strategies.
• Patching, upgrades, migrations with minimal downtime.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled MSSQL Engineer with 5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, security, and reliability of MSSQL databases supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments.
• Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Manage database backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and incidents.
• Implement and maintain high availability solutions such as Always On, replication, clustering, or failover mechanisms.
• Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and database changes.
• Maintain proper documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) administration.
• Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of high availability solutions like Always On, replication, and clustering.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools, scripting, and automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in MSSQL database administration.
• Microsoft SQL Server certifications are an added advantage.
