Job summary

FSP Solutions in Mumbai, India is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to manage database administration, optimize performance, implement backups and DR strategies, and support HA/DR solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with Always On, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Replication, clustering, and strong knowledge of monitoring tools, security policies, and cross-team collaboration. On-site position based in Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• MS SQL Server Database Administration experience.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery options for SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience in Disaster Recovery solutions like Always on, Log-Shipping, Mirroring & Replication.
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of clusters, HA ,DR.
• Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, DBCCs).
• Should have good knowledge of database monitoring.
• Hands-on experience of implementation of Security policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to organize and plan work independently.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
