Job summary

Eighty Days in Mumbai is building a new way to discover the world through taste and personal context, now seeking a motion designer to bring product and brand to life with motion, UI interactions, and micro-animations.

You will collaborate with developers to ensure animations are feasible and integrated across iOS and Android, contributing to a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in motion design or animation.
• Strong timing, easing, transitions, and visual storytelling.
• Proficient with After Effects, Figma, Rive or Lottie.
• Solid visual design fundamentals and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate ideas into concept, animation, prototype, and developer handoff.
• Strong portfolio with motion and UI interaction work.
• Understanding of animation implementation on iOS and Android.
• Illustration or 3D experience is a plus.
• Experience in fast-paced product startups is a plus.

What you’ll do

• Create motion graphics, animations, and transitions for our product and brand.
• Design UI interactions and micro-interactions that make the product feel polished and intuitive.
• Animate screens, components, icons, illustrations, and other visual assets.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure animations are technically feasible and implemented accurately.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of experience in motion design, animation, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of timing, easing, transitions, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with tools such as After Effects, Figma, Rive, Lottie, or similar.
• Strong visual design fundamentals and attention to detail.
• Ability to take an idea from concept - animation - prototype - developer handoff.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating both motion work and digital/UI interactions.
• Understanding of how animations are implemented in iOS & android.
• Illustration or 3D experience.
• Great to have worked in a fast paced product-based startup.
