Role: Mortgage Servicing Processor

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Servicing Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the servicing of mortgage loans from origination through payoff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-centric mindset, and experience in mortgage servicing.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

1. 1. Loan File Management
   • Review loan applications (1003) for completeness and accuracy
   • Collect and verify required documents:
   • Income (pay stubs, W-2s, tax returns)
   • Assets (bank statements, investment accounts)
   • Credit reports
   • Appraisal and title documents
   • Ensure all documentation meets investor and underwriting guidelines
2. 2. Communication & Coordination
   • Act as the main point of contact between:
   • Loan officers
   • Borrowers
   • Underwriters
   • Title companies
   • Realtors
   • Provide updates and resolve conditions promptly
3. 3. Submitting to Underwriting
   • Prepare and submit complete loan files to underwriting
   • Review underwriting conditions
   • Clear conditions by gathering additional documentation
4. 4. Compliance & Quality Control
   • Ensure adherence to:
   • Federal regulations (TRID, RESPA, TILA, etc.)
   • Investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA)
   • Maintain data accuracy in LOS (Loan Origination System)
   • Prevent errors that could delay closing
5. 5. Closing Preparation
   • Ensure all conditions are cleared
   • Confirm closing disclosures are accurate
   • Coordinate with closing team to meet deadline

Qualifications/Experience

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing or a related financial services role.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with mortgage servicing software and loan processing systems; knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations is a plus.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication abilities; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with loan servicing software.
