Job summary

U.S. Bancorp India in Chennai is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Associate to process and balance cash/funds within 48 hours, following department and investor guidelines.

The role emphasizes accuracy in mortgage-related cash flow, handling misapplied funds, and applying policy developments. You will work in-office five days a week, with a night shift from 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience in Operational Activities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cash/funds are processed and balanced within 48 hours of receipt according to department and investor guidelines.
• Identify, research, and resolve rejected and/or misapplied funds in a timely manner per department guidelines.
• Follow and develop department policy and procedures; understand mortgage system's cash flow.

Ensures cash/funds are processed and balanced accurately within48 hours of receipt according to department and investor guidelines. Ensures rejected and/or misapplied funds are identified, researched, and resolved in a timely manner according to department guidelines. Follows and develops department policy and procedures. Understands and utilizes mortgage system's cash flow.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Typically, One to Two years of relevant experience in an Operational Activities
• Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and MS Teams

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Good understanding of the business and broad office skills
• Experience in Loan Processing, Loss Mitigation (Workout plan, Modification trial, Forbearance plan, Repayment agreement, Servicing transfer, Workout option evaluation), Mortgage, Banking Operations is required
• Demonstrated administrative skills and acute attention to detail
• Well-developed reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
• Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and graphics
• Good verbal, grammatical, and written communication skills

Work Mode: 5 Days in Office

Shift Timing: 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST
