Momentive Business Services invites a Lead Analyst – Costing COE to Bengaluru to lead standard cost management, actual costing, and variance analysis across plants. You will partner with Operations Finance Leaders and stakeholders to optimize costs and ensure US GAAP compliance.

You will develop costing models, coordinate with global teams, and support ad-hoc analyses while occasionally working night shifts from home.

• Qualified Cost Accountant with 8-10 years in cost accounting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication across levels in a global, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

• Night shift work from home 5-7 days monthly.

Lead Analyst – Costing COE

Summary

The Global Shared Services team, based in India and Mexico, is integral to this mission, delivering comprehensive finance and business support.

The incumbent of this role will be part of GSS – Finance Support Team working with the line manager independently to ensure timely execution and delivery of commitments as per the roles and responsibilities defined, to meet expectations of our functional stakeholders in Costing COE team.

The incumbent of this position will play a key role in optimizing cost management processes, influencing key business decisions, and driving our global success as part of MBS. Should play a key role in delivering consistent quality inputs to stakeholders across Business, Commercial, and Operations.

Responsible for analysis of various key drivers related to operational efficiency.

Ensure timely and accurate flow of reporting to control functions.

Maintain close working relationships and support Operations Finance Leaders.

Responsibilities Include

Tasks and responsibilities of the position:

• – Standard Cost Management: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard cost models to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost calculations across diverse manufacturing operations.
• – Perform adequate testing and report and analyze results during Actual Costing Implementation project.
• – Actual Cost Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of actual costs, investigating discrepancies and variances to provide actionable insights for cost optimization strategies.
• – Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and collaborating with stakeholders to implement corrective actions where needed.
• – Query Resolution and Discrepancy Management: Manage and resolve cost-related queries, variances between Standard and Actual and other discrepancies promptly, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• – Multi-Plant Coordination: Coordinate with teams across multiple plants to gather data, harmonize cost accounting practices, and streamline reporting processes.
• – Collaboration and Engagement: Work closely with business, commercial, and product managers, providing valuable cost insights and fostering collaborative decision-making.
• – Commitment to growth, professional development, and work-life quality by managing priorities.
• – Handle ad-hoc requests from Stakeholders and Manager promptly and effectively for business continuity.
• – Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal Momentive financial policies.

Qualifications

The following are required for the role:

• – Qualified Cost Accountant with min 8-10 years of experience in cost accounting, variance analysis, and standard cost management within a manufacturing environment.
• – Proficiency in SAP systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• – Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• – Experience working in a global environment with a pro-active attitude, pragmatic, Multitask handling and team player.
• – Monthly 5-7 working days incumbent has to work in night shift (from home).

Preferred Qualifications

• – Advanced MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau and MS PowerPoint experience.
• – Exposure in Global Shared services set up is a Plus.
