Job summary

Capgemini seeks an experienced Model-Based Development Engineer for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and BEV/HEV powertrain applications. You will apply MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Python, and MathWorks/SCADE to develop and validate models, and conduct MIL/SIL/HIL testing within automotive embedded systems.

Responsibilities include model verification, validation, and auto code generation, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end MBD lifecycle activities and functional safety considerations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow and Python in automotive development.
• Experience with MathWorks/SCADE is a plus.
• Strong understanding of MBD lifecycles: MIL, SIL, HIL and model verification.

Responsibilities

• Work on end-to-end MBD lifecycle activities for BMS and BEV/HEV powertrain applications.
• Develop and validate models; perform MIL/SIL/HIL testing and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements-based development and auto code generation.

Model-Based Development (MBD) Engineer | BMS EV Powertrain Specialist

Experienced Model-Based Development Engineer with expertise in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Python, and MathWorks/SCADE for the development and validation of Battery Management Systems (BMS) and BEV/HEV Powertrain applications. Skilled in end-to-end MBD lifecycle activities, including Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing. Proficient in Simulink Test Manager, TPT, requirements-based development, model verification, validation, and auto code generation for automotive embedded systems. Strong understanding of electric vehicle architectures, functional safety, and control algorithm development.
