Job summary

Infosys is seeking a skilled Mobile Application Tester to ensure quality, performance, and usability of mobile apps on Android and iOS. The role covers manual and automation testing, test planning, and collaboration within Agile/Scrum teams.

You will validate UI/UX, device compatibility, and API interactions while using tools like Jira, TestRail, Appium and cloud device labs to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manual and automation testing of mobile apps.
• Ability to design test plans, scenarios and test cases for mobile apps.
• Strong focus on UI/UX, performance, and battery usage validation.
• Familiar with real devices and emulators/simulators and cloud device labs.
• Experience with defect tracking using JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Application Tester to ensure the quality, performance, and usability of mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. The candidate will be responsible for manual and automation testing of mobile apps to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and create test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for mobile applications
• Perform manual testing on Android and iOS devices
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, UAT, and exploratory testing
• Test mobile‑specific features such as:
  • Push notifications
  • App installation/uninstallation
  • Device compatibility
  • Network conditions (2G/3G/4G/5G/Wi‑Fi)
• Validate UI/UX, gestures, screen resolutions, and orientations
• Perform compatibility testing across devices, OS versions, and screen sizes
• Log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and designers in Agile/Scrum teams
• Perform API testing for mobile‑backend communication
• Validate app performance, stability, and battery usage

Required Skills

Mobile Testing Skills

• Strong experience in Android and iOS application testing
• Knowledge of mobile app life cycle
• Understanding of mobile UX guidelines (Material Design, iOS HIG)
• Experience with real devices and emulators/simulators

Tools & Technologies

• Test management tools: JIRA, TestRail, ALM
• API testing tools: Postman, Charles Proxy, Fiddler
• Device cloud platforms: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab

Automation (Preferred)

• Experience with Appium (Android & iOS)
• Knowledge of:
  • Selenium + Appium
  • TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Basic knowledge of Java / Python / JavaScript

Performance & Security (Nice to Have)

• Mobile performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner
• Knowledge of mobile security testing (OWASP Mobile Top 10)
• Experience testing offline/online sync scenarios
