Job summary

Fortive Careers in Bengaluru, India is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated mobile test suites for iOS and Android. You will work with Appium, Espresso/XCUITest, and Java or Ruby within a CI environment to ensure high-quality releases.

You will also identify test gaps, improve frameworks, mock services when needed, and contribute to the release process up to store readiness on Apple and Google Play.

Qualifications

• Experience creating automation scripts from existing framework and enhance the framework as required.
• Experience in mobile automation testing frameworks like Appium, Espresso/XCUITest.
• Experience working with Simulators/emulators and cloud devices.
• Working experience with Appium Java or Ruby.
• 2-8 yrs experience in Software development with focus on Quality Assurance on mobile applications in Continuous Integration, Continuous testing environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of test failures and ensure the CI system is reliable.
• Troubleshoot and debug automated test failures within automation project.
• Maintain knowledge of current testing approaches, tools and technologies.
• Work with engineers to define and implement mechanisms to inject testing earlier into the software development process.
• Identify and drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
• Participate in the release process and readiness all the way to Apple and Google Play store.
• Other job duties as assigned.
