Job summary

SynapseIndia, based in Kolkata, is seeking a skilled mobile developer to build and maintain high-quality Android and iOS apps. You will work with Kotlin, Java, React Native, and Flutter across the app lifecycle.

The role involves designing with MVVM/Clean Architecture, integrating REST APIs and Firebase, and delivering secure, scalable solutions. Collaboration with backend, QA, and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with REST APIs, Firebase, and third-party SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Lead mobile development activities from requirement analysis, design, and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Develop applications using Android, React Native, and/or Flutter.
• Design scalable applications using MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, and appropriate state-management approaches.
• Integrate REST APIs, JSON, GraphQL, Firebase, push notifications, payment SDKs, Google Maps, and third-party SDKs.
• Implement authentication, authorization, secure storage, deep linking, offline capabilities, and mobile security.
• Develop responsive and adaptive mobile UI using Jetpack Compose, XML, React Native, Flutter, Material 3, etc.
• Work with local databases/storage such as Room, SQLite, DataStore, Hive/Isar, and Secure Storage.
• Perform unit, UI, widget, and integration testing and troubleshoot crashes, ANRs, memory, and performance issues.
• Manage Android/iOS builds and releases, including APK/AAB, IPA, Gradle, CocoaPods, signing, ProGuard/R8, Google Play Console, App Store Connect, and TestFlight.
• Use Git/GitHub and participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and release management.
• Work closely with Backend Developers, QA, UI/UX, Project Managers, and clients.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure application quality and performance.
• Stay updated with mobile technologies, SDK changes, security practices, and platform requirements.

• Android: Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack, Compose, MVVM, Coroutines, Hilt/Dagger, Room, WorkManager.
• React Native: React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, React Hooks, Redux/Redux Toolkit, React Navigation, Native Modules, Android/iOS integration.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, Firebase, FCM, push notifications, authentication, deep linking, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with payment SDKs, Google Maps/location services, and local storage.
• Good understanding of mobile security, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Crashlytics, Android/Flutter/React Native debugging tools.
• Hands-on experience with Google Play Console, App Store Connect, TestFlight, Android/iOS signing, and production releases.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with international clients and distributed teams is an advantage.
