Job summary

Abhinna Investments in Kolkata is seeking a Mining Engineer to manage day-to-day underground operations, plan drilling, blasting, excavation, and crusher activities, and lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.

You will ensure compliance with Mines Act and safety standards, coordinate with planning/maintenance, and report progress to senior management. Proficiency in SURPAC and AutoCAD 2D is preferred, with strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in mining engineering or related field.
• Diploma/B.Tech / B.E. degree from a recognised institution (any specialization).
• Proficiency in SURPAC software for mine planning and design.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, including blasting, drilling, excavation, loading, haul truck operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mining operations to meet production targets for Underground Operations.
• Plan, supervise, and optimize drilling, blasting, excavation, and crusher operations.
• Ensure compliance with all mining laws, safety standards, and statutory obligations DGMS, IBM, MOEF etc.
• Lead a team of mining engineers, supervisors, and operators to achieve production goals.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, risk assessments, and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain records and reports as per Mines Act and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with planning and maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment utilization.
• Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, and internal departments as required.
• Report production status, challenges, and improvements to senior management in which HEMM is deployed.
• Good with MS word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
• Worked with AutoCad 2D.
• Worked with GEOVIA Surpac Software.
