Job summary

Golcha Associated Group is seeking a Mining Operations Manager to lead semi-mechanized opencast mining activities in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The role emphasizes delivering production targets while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will plan and supervise mine operations, ensure efficient use of resources, and manage a team of supervisors and contractors. A strong grasp of DGMS regulations and Mines Act is essential. Willingness to relocate to the mine site is required.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities -

1. Mining Operations & Production

• Supervise and manage semi-mechanized opencast mining operations to achieve production targets while ensuring operational efficiency and quality standards.
• Develop and execute mine plans, production schedules, excavation sequences, and operational strategies in accordance with approved mining plans.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and other resources.
• Monitor daily mining activities, assess operational performance, and implement corrective measures to improve productivity.

2. Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Mines Act, Metalliferous Mines Regulations (MMR), DGMS guidelines, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain statutory registers, records, returns, and reports as prescribed under applicable mining regulations.
• Coordinate with DGMS officials and other regulatory authorities during inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.

3. Safety & Mine Administration

• Ensure safe mining practices and compliance with prescribed health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular mine inspections, hazard assessments, and safety reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Supervise workforce discipline, contractor activities, and day-to-day mine administration.
• Implement safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture across mining operations.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor production performance, equipment utilization, resource deployment, and key operational indicators.
• Analyse daily production data and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Prepare and review production reports, MIS, statutory reports, and management updates.

5. Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and guide mine supervisors, workmen, contractors, and operational teams to ensure effective execution of mining activities.
• Coordinate with senior management, government departments, regulatory authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination across all mine operations.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mining Engineering.
• Valid First Class Manager's Certificate of Competency is mandatory.
• Relevant experience in managing opencast mining operations, statutory compliance, and mine administration.
