Job summary

SoftwareONE Deutschland GmbH is hiring a Microsoft Security Consultant to design and optimize Microsoft security solutions across hybrid and cloud environments. Job description

The role

As a Microsoft Security Consultant, you will design, implement, and optimize end‑to‑end Microsoft security solutions for enterprise customers across hybrid and cloud environments. You will work closely with customers to deliver security transformation initiatives aligned with Zero Trust principles and modern security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft security solutions across identity, endpoint, cloud, data, and SIEM/XDR domains
• Deploy and manage Microsoft technologies including Defender XDR, Sentinel, Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, and Purview
• Configure Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, and hybrid identity security
• Implement endpoint protection, EDR/XDR capabilities, and threat detection use cases
• Support cloud security posture management and secure Azure workloads
• Build SIEM/SOAR integrations, analytics rules, KQL queries, and automation playbooks
• Implement DLP, data classification, and compliance controls
• Conduct threat hunting, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
• Drive security governance, Secure Score improvements, and operational best practices
• Lead customer workshops, advisory discussions, and solution design sessions

What we need to see from you

• 8–10+ years of cybersecurity experience with strong exposure to Microsoft security technologies
• Hands‑on expertise across Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, and Purview
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust, Azure security, identity protection, and hybrid environments
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR implementation and threat hunting using KQL
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and CIS
• Strong client‑facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in consulting, enterprise, or MSSP environments
• Preferred Certifications: SC‑200, SC‑300, AZ‑500, SC‑400, SC‑100 or equivalent Microsoft security certifications
