Job summary

Cerebra is seeking a Microsoft Data Loss Prevention Engineer to join our security operations in Ambattur, India. The role focuses on monitoring DLP alerts and incidents, performing investigations, and managing DLP policies across endpoints, networks, email, and cloud services.

The candidate will work with Legal, Privacy, HR and IT Operations to contain and remediate data exposures, while reducing false positives and tracking KPIs for data-risk trends.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in Microsoft DLP and data protection.
• Experience monitoring DLP alerts across endpoint, network, email and cloud.
• Ability to conduct deep-dive investigations and document findings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and triage DLP security alerts and incidents.
• Analyze DLP events across endpoint, network, email, and cloud/CASB/SaaS channels.
• Investigate insider threat activities and determine exposure as malicious or accidental.
• Create, test, update, and tune DLP policies and data classification rules.
• Reduce false positives and improve DLP detection accuracy.
• Coordinate containment and remediation for confirmed data exposures.
• Work with Legal, Privacy, HR, and IT Operations during investigations.
• Maintain detailed investigation documentation and incident logs.
• Track DLP KPIs and prepare reporting on data-risk trends.
