Job summary

Ngage Intelligence is seeking a skilled Microsoft BI Engineer for a full-time, on-site position in India. The role requires hands-on experience with ETL development, SSIS, SSAS, DAX, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, data warehousing, and data lakes.

You will design and optimize ETL processes, develop SSIS packages and SSAS models, write DAX measures, and build Power BI dashboards. Collaboration with product and business teams in a fast-paced environment is essential to deliver scalable BI solutions

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in ETL development and SSIS package development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), preferably SSAS Tabular.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, including writing and optimizing complex measures and queries.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboards, reports, semantic models, datasets, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration and orchestration.
• Strong T-SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, views, and query optimization.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lakes.
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing BI solutions for performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SSIS packages and data integration workflows.
• Collaborate with the development team on SQL database updates, schema changes, stored procedures, and data-related product enhancements.
• Analyze business and product data and generate data summaries and insights to support AI prompt generation and AI-driven use cases.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize SSAS Tabular models/cubes to support BI and reporting solutions.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot DAX queries and measures for analytical reporting.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and datasets that provide actionable business insights.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and quality across BI solutions and data pipelines.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, SQL, ADF, and other BI processes.
• Design and manage data integration and orchestration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects.
• Monitor BI processes and proactively identify opportunities for performance optimization and process improvements.
• Work collaboratively with the development and product teams to support BI-related product releases and enhancements.
