Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an experienced Microsoft AI Architect to lead the architecture and technical direction for Copilot and agent solutions, translating business needs into secure, scalable, production-ready designs while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

The role covers customer advisory, end-to-end architectures for Microsoft 365 Copilot and related suites, selecting patterns, governance and delivering roadmaps with risk and cost considerations.

Qualifications

• 12–16 years of technology experience with 5–7 years in solution, cloud, data, integration or enterprise architecture.
• 2–3+ years hands-on experience with generative AI, conversational AI, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI or agentic solutions.
• Proven experience designing enterprise Microsoft cloud solutions and taking AI solutions from discovery or PoC to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery, AI-readiness assessments and use-case prioritization; translate business needs into an actionable Microsoft AI roadmap.
• Design end-to-end architectures for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft IQ/Foundry IQ and Agent 365 solutions.
• Select the right low-code, pro-code, SaaS or Azure pattern for declarative, conversational, autonomous, RAG and multi-agent solutions.
• Design enterprise grounding using SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Dataverse, Fabric, Azure AI Search and approved business data, preserving permissions and citations.
• Architect secure agent identities, access, data protection and governance using Entra ID, Purview, Defender and Agent 365; address prompt injection, data leakage and excessive agency.
• Define integrations with Microsoft 365 and enterprise platforms through connectors, APIs, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management and MCP-compatible interfaces.
• Provide technical direction to a 15–20 member multidisciplinary team; review architecture, code, prompts, evaluations, security and release readiness.
• Establish reusable reference architectures, ALM/CI-CD, testing, observability, cost controls, support models and responsible AI practices for production deployment.
• Present solution options, trade-offs, estimates and risks to customer executives, Microsoft stakeholders and architecture review boards.

Microsoft AI Architect

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft AI Architect to lead the architecture and technical direction of enterprise Copilot and agent solutions for customers identified for Microsoft AI adoption. The role combines customer advisory, hands-on architecture and technical leadership across the Microsoft AI ecosystem. The successful candidate will translate business needs into secure, scalable and production-ready solutions while guiding a multidisciplinary team of 1520 professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience technically leading multidisciplinary teams of 15–20 members and engaging senior business, security and architecture stakeholders.
• Ability to produce customer-ready architectures, solution options, estimates, proposals, roadmaps and implementation plans.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Copilot and agent platforms

• Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft IQ/Foundry IQ and Microsoft Agent 365.
• Agent design, orchestration, instructions, prompt engineering, tool calling, multi-agent patterns and AI evaluations.

Knowledge, data and AI

• Azure AI model services, Azure AI Search, RAG/agentic retrieval, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, Dataverse, Fabric, Power BI and semantic models.

Automation and integration

• Power Apps, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, custom connectors, REST/JSON, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and MCP concepts.

Security, engineering and operations

• Microsoft Entra ID, Purview, Defender, Key Vault, responsible AI, threat modelling, observability and cost management.
• GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD, environment strategy, testing and production support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related discipline.
• Microsoft certification in one or more relevant areas, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert or Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
