Job summary

EVERSANA in Pune seeks a Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to scope, plan, and deploy Microsoft 365 initiatives across the enterprise. You will design, implement, and support collaboration solutions, with emphasis on M365 services, VDI, and Apple/Microsoft stacks for IT modernization.

You will collaborate with M365 Engineers and Architects to establish governance, SOPs, change management, disaster recovery, and KPI measurements, while ensuring security and policy compliance.

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience managing enterprise systems.
  • Experience managing VDI technology and enterprise deployments.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD.
  • Knowledge of PKI/certificates and security controls.
  • PowerShell proficiency and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The goal of this position is to challenge and disrupt conventional methods of delivering technology to users across the organization. The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer will assist in scoping, planning, and executing Microsoft 365 and related Modern Workplace initiatives. The role will be engaged in designing, implementing, and communicating collaboration solutions for EVERSANA related to mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and divestitures. Advanced knowledge of VDI, thin client, zero touch provisioning, configuration management on Apple and Microsoft technology stacks is also critical to the role. Proven expertise in Microsoft Purview is preferred.

A demonstrated knowledge of the entire Microsoft M365 Modern workplace ecosystem and mid-level networking is also required, as this position will assist EVERSANA operations to ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information systems that support core M365 services for our enterprise. The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate technical skills, proficiency with the design, implementation, and support of all of Microsoft 365 Platform Services.

This role will work with other M365 Engineers and Architect to blueprint best-of-class solutions. They will develop governance, define SOP’s around managing change, experience monitoring, disaster recovery, and define KPI’s to measure success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong understanding of Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)/Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)/Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
  • Microsoft Modern Workplace AI Governance.
  • Ensure quality compliance including security. Following IT security standard.
  • Working with Corporate Communication group to circulate and distribute information to the users and global management.
  • Project planning, implementation, and administration of new M365 services.
  • Comply with the ratios/objectives established in the service (KPI, SLA)
  • Ability to solve problems quickly, develop workflow and automate processes to deliver efficiencies
  • Must be energetic, self-motivated, and work well in a team environment with the ability to operate independently.
  • Actively work to complete company goals on Microsoft AI initiatives.
  • Participate in scoping efforts to understand cost and complexity, while creating statements of work and work breakdown structures with minimal oversight.
  • Exhibit the ability to own the entire lifecycle of processes and procedures from requirements gathering to end user socialization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within a team, across IT Teams, across business service lines and with external consultants and partners to effectively communicate and deliver complex technical processes and solutions.
  • Orchestrate knowledge transfer and sharing best practices with team members that help enhance the quality and efficiency of customer service and M365 process management.
  • Engaged on the implementation of Purview features, such as retention policies, e-discovery,
  • Data loss prevention, data labeling, and Azure Information Protection
  • Recognize opportunities and take the initiative to solve problems
  • Represent proposed changes in weekly CAB meetings.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Experience and/or Training:
    • 6-8+ years of experience managing enterprise systems
    • Experience managing VDI technology
    • Experience testing, planning, and deploying technology at the enterprise level
    • Working knowledge with endpoint configuration management toolsets
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory/Azure AD
    • Working knowledge of PKI/Certificates
    • Expert level Windows 10/11 Engineering/Administration
    • PowerShell proficiency
    • Knowledge of emerging Microsoft and other productivity tools with AI integrations.
    • Cloud/Private Cloud performance management
    • Proficient at crafting technical documentation
    • Understands networking fundamentals and how those relate to solution delivery
    • Exceptional intrapersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field of study
  • Experience and/or Training:
    • Working knowledge with thin clients
    • Experience in planning design and execution of large-scale systems implementation.
    • Purview features and functionalities, such as retention, e-discovery, Data loss prevention, data labeling, and Azure Information Protection
    • Demonstrated excellence driving end user experience.
  • Licenses/Certificates: ITILv4, Microsoft certifications (AZ104- Azure Administrator, MD102/MS102 -M365 Administration
