Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a MicroStrategy Developer with 5–8 years of experience to join our team in India. The role focuses on building and optimizing MicroStrategy schemas, reports, dashboards, and dossiers with extensive SDK usage.

Ideal candidates will have strong T-SQL/PL-SQL skills, data warehousing experience (Snowflake, star schemas), and familiarity with REST APIs and Web SDKs to visualize and deliver data insights across business units.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as MicroStrategy Developer.
• Proficient in MicroStrategy 2019 or later versions.
• Strong knowledge of reporting, dashboards, and dossier development.
• Experience with Snowflake and Star Schemas in data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with T-SQL/PL-SQL and creating DB objects.

Responsibilities

• Build Schema Objects and Public Objects in MicroStrategy.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and dossiers.
• Customize solutions using MicroStrategy SDK.
• Leverage Web SDK and REST APIs for visualization and integration.
• Work with data modeling and warehousing concepts (Snowflake, Star Schemas).
• Assist with plugin and custom tag usage for clients.

Job description:

• 4+ years of experienced MicroStrategy Developer.
• Should have excellent knowledge in MicroStrategy.
• Strong development experience in MicroStrategy 2019 or later version:
  • Building Schema Objects and Public Objects
  • Extensive experience in Reporting, Dashboards, and Dossier development
  • Customization using MicroStrategy SDK
• Having MicroStrategy Certification would be helpful.
• Experienced in data modeling (Snowflake and Star Schemas) and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) in Data Warehousing.
• Hands‑on experience in T‑SQL and PL/SQL programming, including creating tables, views, and stored procedures in Oracle/MS SQL Server.

Additional Details on Web SDK

• Accommodate business needs that are not supported by standard MicroStrategy functionality using SDK.
• Good understanding of MicroStrategy Web SDK.
• Experience in customizing page and content layout in MicroStrategy Web SDK.
• Experience with Visualization and Web SDK to provide new ways to visualize data in MicroStrategy.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Exposure to creating Web Services APIs/operations.
• General awareness of plugins and custom tags available out of the box for customers.
